Hi friends! Sorry, I'm a little late in posting. I took the kids out ALL day yesterday and just didn't get have the time or energy to get things made and blogged. Did you know that this is my FIRST ever week of Growing in Unity?! Isn't that amazing?
How it works is that everyday for the next week, I will be showcasing Unity Stamp Co on my blog. You should be sure to leave comments EVERYDAY because Unity is giving one person the stamp set of their choice (ETA: from a Unity provided list)! The winner will be randomly drawn from all the comments I get on my Growing in Unity posts! BUT that's not it! I will be giving away TWO more prizes! :) They will include FULL stamp sets, papers, ribbon, and some other yummies. So, comment EVERYDAY!
So, for today, I decided to make two cards in different styles using the same stamps. Fun, right? I'm hoping to keep it up everyday this week, let's just hope my energy doesn't run out! Today, I used Unity's Moments in Bloom which was last May's retail kit.
This first card was made using last week's Card Positioning Systems sketch. I actually started this a couple days ago, hoping to be able to get it submitted in time but that didn't happen. I decided to go shabby chic with this card since the sketch was simple, it really lent itself well to Webster's Pages paper. That paper does all the work for you, it's so beautiful! I just stamped the image in brown on kraft paper and distressed the edges. Then I added a sentiment using a Spellbinders die from the Pennant set.
For my second card, I decided to go really clean. I have to say, I LOVE the way this turned out. This is the first time I've made a frame with Nesties and it's SUPER easy! And look at what a punch it packs! So pretty! I just added a little baker's twine (bought from Endless Inkabilities.) Just a really bright card that would be so easy to make a set out of!
Ok, I have MORE news since it's May 1. First up, I was asked to join the Carousel Crew for the Ribbon Carousel company! I am SO excited to be working with this team! There is a Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog. Make sure you follow that blog because the challenges are going to be SUPER fun and there will be PRIZES!!
And since it's the first day of May, I have a NEW sale to tell you about at Paper Maniac! It's a BIG one! 10% off Memory Box (which I used on my second card) 20% off all ink 30% off Northwoods Stamps 40% off Greeting Farm stamps and 50% off SEI papers and embellishments! Woohoo!
Please come back tomorrow for Day 2 of Growing in Unity and don't for get to LEAVE A COMMENT for a chance to win!!!
