Hello! First, I need to say THANK YOU to all the amazing people who have read my Lularoe and the Plus Sized Gal posts! I never imagined people would love the post so much and I would get the opportunity to talk to women around the country! I am floored and honored that you all would take the time to read a post from me. If you have not read my previous posts, I will link them here:
~ Review: Lularoe for the Plus Sized Gal (part 1)
Since my first post back in February, I have gained so much confidence. Lularoe has literally changed my life. I have begun wearing more colorful and at times even LOUD clothing where I used to only wear black to fade into the background. I feel more polished and put together while still being very comfortable, which is important to me. I'm a lot less shy about posting pictures of myself because I've heard from so many women that it has helped them. I know what it's like to just want to fade away and hide, to save all the fun clothes for your kids, and to not want to be in any of the family pictures. It hurts my heart that so many women feel this way about themselves. If I can help ONE woman to feel better about herself, my job here is complete.
Here are some styles I haven't tried yet including the newer Carly dress and Joy vest.
Carly Dress: I love the Carly! It's a t-shirt dress with a hi-lo hem and it is meant to be worn loose and boho style. Since the Carly is a looser style like the Irma Tunic, you can fit in multiple sizes. I can wear from a Large to a 3XL. Personally, I like the look of the XL on my body. I love this dress! It feels like wearing pajamas and I get tons of compliments on it. I was hoping to get pictures in all the sizes for you but that didn't happen BUT I did the range! The first picture is a size large and I belted it. It fits me great and I add the belt when I want a more dressed up look. The bottom picture is a 3XL in the heavier weight material that has no pocket. The sizing of this dress is going to depend on what look you're going for if you like things tighter get a smaller size, if you like oversized and drapey go for the larger.
Joy Vest: I really wanted to get a Joy because my daughter's middle name is Joy. Vests are all the rage right now. I have the lace vest because I got mine when they first came out. They now come in a variety of fabrics which is AWESOME for fall! I can fit in a Large or XL Joy. If you are bustier (like my friend Heather in this picture), you need need to size up. My Joy is in a L and in this picture I'm wearing a 3XL Nicole Dress.
Monroe Kimono: In my first blog post, I showed the Lindsay Kimono but I didn't show the Monroe. Monroe has fringe on the bottom and the sleeves are shorter. I can fit the both the Monroe sizes, small and large, but I prefer the large. It's a fun addition to an outfit to give it a pop of color and some pizzaz! The large Monroe is shown here with an XL Carly.
Sarah Duster: The Sarah is a long cardigan with full length sleeves. (I just realized that I never even tried the size large on, I went for the largest size out of habit and never tried anything else.) The XL fit me great and it was very comfortable! This is such a great layering piece! Where I live, it doesn't get very cold and this duster would be enough to get me through most days. I think I wore my coat 2-3 times last year. This XL Sarah is worn with an XL Perfect T and TC leggings.
Those are all the styles I have for you today. Please feel free to leave any questions in the comments below.

Thank you taking the time to make these posts. I am a plus size women and this was so helpful!!!! I was disappointed that I couldn't even find a sizing on the clothing on LulaRoe's own website.
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you thank you for reviewing LuLaRoe clothing! I've recently started buying LuLaRoe & am usually a little clueless as to sizing since my consultant wears S, XS, & XXS (she's great, I love my consultant, it's just hard to relate size wise). Looking at charts can only tell you so much but your input has been super helpful! And I love your outfits!
ReplyDeleteThanks for these posts! So helpful and you look great!
ReplyDeleteI love the Sarah on you! And your posts in general. =)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your posts. They have been incredibly helpful!!
ReplyDeleteThese are great reviews. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this ! I was invited to a party this past wkend and I had no clue what this kind of clothing even was !! I was the biggest lady there and was Very self-conscious I had no idea they fit big girls !!! The hostess ask if I wanted to try anything on .. I said no thanks that's ok ! But after your review I wish I would have ! I really like the vests and have actually been looking for something just like that ! Whoda thunk it ??? Lol Thanks again ..
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Finally a woman who will post for the rest of us larger size ladies! Please keep posting as new items come out. Most people I know who wear LLR are smaller so I never know what it will look like on ladies like us. You are amazing! I have never worn leggings in my life...until this. I'm giving it a try. You look beautiful and confident - hopefully I will follow suit!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this!!! I am just getting into LLR and I am a large woman (very busty and most of my weight is in my tummy). I really appreciate your descriptions and pictures. You look great in everything and you have a beautiful smile too! Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your reviews! I really want to buy some from my friend - and hesitate because of the plus sizes I wear!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your posts about LLR clothing with your reviews and pictures. I have quite a few pieces of LLR, but I mostly just get the same things all the time. I recently got a Sarah and I can't decide if I like it or not. I am actually built similar to you. I feel like the Sarah must look ridiculous because it's so long and I'm so short! But I think it looks great on you, so maybe I should just take the leap and wear it out of the house. It does feel amazingly comfy when I have it on. Thanks again for posting your pics and reviews. It really is helping out plus size women--it inspires me to continue to accept my body for what it is!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for posting all of these! Ive been nervous to try the Carly, Sarah, and Nicole, but now I'm going to go for it :)
ReplyDeleteWould love to see you in more leggings and perfect tees! They look so good on you! (I'm still nervous to try!)but you're very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to join the others to say THANK YOU! :) We are the same height (looking through other comments from other posts I figured out you're about 5' 5/6") and similar body types, and while I'm not quite as endowed in the bust area I'm able to figure out from your awesome pictures and descriptions what sizes and styles will probably work best for me. It's so helpful! I only recently bought my first LulaRoe leggings- love them! I also got a Carly and based on a couple youtube videos I thought it would be much stretchier and ordered a small (I like my tops fitted in my arms and shoulders) but the fabric I got wasn't very stretchy and it totally squished my girls, lol! So I'm exchanging it for something else, but had I read your posts before I ordered I would have known to ask about the fabric and order at least a Large. Now I have a much better idea of what sizes will probably work in all the pieces I'm interested in- which will save me time and money! Thank you! And you look just absolutely adorable btw!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have been interested in these clothes for awhile. I bought a perfect t and sent it back to exchange for a different size. I guess I just need to host a party at home!
ReplyDeleteYou should! Do you know someone local? If not, I can try to help you.
DeleteI do have 2 people locally that have popped up on my Facebook in the past month! I know I have had invites to other online parties but I just thought oh nothing there will fit me! Leggings still scare me! And I don't have shoes to wear with them. But I want to eventually try them!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the helpful photos and information. All of the stiles looked very nice on you. My Sister is very interested in LuLaRoe and I was able to send her a link to your story so she could visually see more of the style and how they fit on a Plus size body type like ours. Thanks Again!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your story and your sizes. I'm a bigger girl who loves Lula clothes and am trying to make them work, but I needed to see and hear your take to gain the confidence to wear them more often! Thank you again. Keep sharing your story!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for these posts! I recently discovered Lularoe and love it, but have been hesitant to order certain pieces or sizes bc I didn't know how they would fit or look on me. I already know I love the TC leggings, XL perfect t, xl irma, and l monroe. You sound like pretty much exactly my size (you probably have a bigger bust, lol) and now I feel more confident in other things I can order! Thank you! Ps. You look amazing in all these pics and you make me want a Sarah. Lol.
ReplyDeleteOMG thank you! This was so helpful. I'm newer to LLR and very close to your shape and size. I have short legs, long torso, 5'4", and an 18-20. I have been dying to try a Madison but I'm not sure on the size. Have you tried one yet?
ReplyDeleteI have tried the Madison and I have some pictures. I might do a fourth blog post if anyone is interested.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome. I'd love to see the Madison. What size ended up working best for you?
ReplyDeleteYou can email me and I can send you some photos. Or join my Facebook group linked at the top of the post. I can wear the 2xl or the 3xl. I'm also more a size 22 so you might be able to do the XL.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on all 3 posts! I'm also plus sized and recently discovered LLR. Your honest commentary and photos are so helpful.
ReplyDeleteHope your party went great!
Love this. I have used it in the past but just revisited for info on the Amelia. Im so nervous to try it lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing photos and info. I haven't tried any Lularoe yet and this was very helpful.
