Hi friends! I hope you are all doing well. We are doing pretty good. Avery and I both had birthdays. Parker will go back to school tomorrow and Brady on Tuesday. Yay for school! ;) Other than that, it's the same old stuff around here.
Today, I'm sharing my One Little World for 2014. One Little Word is a concept by Ali Edwards. You can read about it on her blog HERE. Instead of making resolutions, I've decided to pick a word and try to work on it the best I can. I've picked words in past years and honestly, I have no kept up with them. Here's hoping that this year I can stick with "Accomplish."
ac·com·plish
[uh-kom-plish] Show IPA
verb (used with object)
Last year, my word was "Savor" and while I did try to savor as much as possible, I don't think I ever reached the potential of my OLW. This year, I need to pull out of "I don't know what the heck I'm doing" mode and into accomplishing. Having three kids is really hard for me. I feel like I never know which direction is up. This year will be about setting things in order and getting things done. Easier said than done though. Wish me luck as I set on my journey to "accomplish."
Ashely, I know you can accomplish all of your endeavors! You have always been a go-getter. Wishing you some peaceful & balanced moments in the midst of all you do. Working and having a family is intensely challenging and disorienting work, yet with it brings the sweetest joys. Savor in that you are an amazing accomplished woman and art-ista who has a grown a beautiful & awesome family!
ReplyDeleteGreat word! can't wait to see how much you get done this year!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you and Avery! Congratulations on picking a word...that is the first step! :) The nice thing about one little word is that you can reflect upon your word as much as you are able throughout the year...I like that (unlike with a specific goal) there is no fail. Wishing you all the best as you set out to accomplish things!
ReplyDeleteGreat word. It helps me to make lists and then check off items when I finish(accomplish) a task. Accomplishment is like the old saying "How do you eat an elephant"? Answer One bite at a time. While, I'm here: just wondering who was your winner in the 2013 Top Ten Blog Hop.
